On Sunday, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu spoke with Joachim MacEbong on the #Roadto2015 elections and they considered the candidacy of president Goodluck Jonathan as regards to the committes he set up to handle his declaration and fundraising. They also discussed general Buhari’s chances and touched on the seeming expendability of vice president Namadi Sambo.
The dynamics within the All Progressives Congress (APC) were discussed and MacEbong assessed the roles of potential spoilers like APC governors on Oshiomhole, Okorocha and Amaechi on GEJ’s expected southern overhaul, concluding that without credible advance polls, one cannot be certain of their influence.
It is another season of the prestigious Young African Leaders Institute (YALI) instituted by United States president Barack Obama and alumni of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Rita Omovbude and Ebuka Emebinah were in the studios to reminisce on their experience as Mandela Washington fellows. They gave an insight to the admissions process and recalled the highlights of the programme. Applications for next year’s program are currently on.
Musician Temi DollFace was the entertainment guest and she traced her journey into music and her return to Nigeria after schooling abroad. Calling herself a creative multitasker, she termed her music genre drama soul and revealed that her former pastor Chris Okotie used to mentor her when she was still a prodigious talent.
She announced her brand new single, Just like that and promised that more material would follow in due course.
